select Export” has already solved the usability problem for the
tester.
The customer does not arrive with that script.
/carbon-usability investigates learnability,
comprehension, efficiency, and realistic task completion. The useful
starting point is what a person wants to accomplish and what they
plausibly know.

Ask a first-time team member to share a read-only report. Do the
labels explain the permission? Can they find the action? Do they know
whether the link is private? Can they undo a mistake?
An AI-led persona can attempt the journey and record ambiguity, wrong
turns, unnecessary work, and successful guidance. Those observations
provide specific hypotheses to improve and test. They are not a
substitute for measured behavior from actual customers.
Source knowledge can make an agent unnaturally informed. A useful
investigation acknowledges that advantage and avoids calling a
source-assisted attempt an independent first-time-user study.
Give it a believable role

The report should preserve the intended task, starting knowledge,
actions, confusing moments, and outcome. Improvements then have
something concrete to address.
This is an inexpensive way to challenge an interface while it is
being built. It does not measure universal ease of use.
The question is simple: did the product help someone find their way,
or did our test instructions quietly do that work for it?
