Every translation key exists. The build passes. The button still says the opposite of what it does.

Localization quality is not a key-counting exercise.

/carbon-localization connects translated strings to their application context: the action, the surrounding text, the user's task, and the product terminology.

Context changes the answer

“Charge” could describe a payment, a battery, or an instruction to take responsibility. A technically plausible translation can be wrong for the feature. A negative sentence can lose its negation. A plural can sound fine for one item and fail for zero.

The agent can compare source and localized strings, inspect placeholders and catalogs, and exercise available localized views. Layout, right-to-left behavior, formatting, and error recovery may expose problems the catalog alone cannot show.

Back-translation is a useful clue, not proof of correctness. Cultural nuance, regulated terminology, and uncertain linguistic judgments still need appropriate human review.

Review a workflow, not a spreadsheet in isolation

/carbon-localization review Spanish and Arabic checkout strings in context; inspect payment meaning, plurals, placeholders, and recovery text

The report should include the exact string, locale, context, why the meaning may be wrong, a proposed correction, and a verification step. It should distinguish an observed mismatch from a judgment that needs a fluent domain reviewer.

The convenience of AI is being able to consider the words and the application together while the feature is still being built.

Shipping all the keys is easy to count. Shipping the right meaning is what customers experience.
