Can an AI Agent Use Your Product?

Discoverability is only the first step. Task completion is the test.

People are not the only consumers of an interface anymore. An agent may need to find a record, compare options, change a setting, or recover from an error.

Can it do that from the information your product actually exposes?

/carbon-agentic evaluates agent readiness for websites, APIs, and tool interfaces. It is not an evaluation of the underlying model. It examines the product an agent is trying to use.

Try the task before reading the answer

A browser agent should first attempt a representative goal using its available page information and controls. An API client needs the relevant contract and documentation. Giving either one privileged source knowledge changes what the attempt establishes.

The investigation can then inspect semantics, labels, structured content, contracts, state, and recovery to explain the friction. A discoverable button is useful. A reliably understood consequence is more important.

Include a recovery path

The report separates discoverability, comprehension, task operation, and safety. It should verify actual outcomes rather than treating a success toast as sufficient evidence.

Emerging protocols and guidance need current source checks. Optional markup conventions are not universal requirements, and an accessibility or SEO pass does not establish agent task success.

The useful result is specific: which information was missing, where the task broke, and what interface change could make it safer and more reliable.

Agent-friendly should mean easier to use correctly, not easier to perform consequential actions without permission.
