Your Interface Can Work and Still Tell a Lie

Test the promises in the words, not just the spelling.

The button says “Delete permanently.” The implementation archives the record.

That is not merely a copy-editing issue. It changes what the user believes happened to their information.

/carbon-content examines truth, clarity, completeness, consistency, and credibility in product content. It connects the words to the feature they describe.

Read the message in its actual state

A success message may appear before the operation finishes. An error may say “try again” when a retry could duplicate the action. A pricing explanation may omit the condition that determines the final charge.

The agent can inspect available copy, source, specifications, links, and rendered states. The interesting comparison is between what the interface promises and what the evidence supports.

This is also where vague labels and incomplete instructions become visible. A perfectly spelled error message can leave someone with no idea how to recover.

Give it a consequential surface

/carbon-content review checkout pricing, confirmation, and error messages against the implemented behavior; flag misleading or unsupported claims

The report should quote the exact text, show its context, explain the consequence, and suggest a correction that fits the behavior. If the underlying product rule is unknown, the agent should ask for clarification rather than invent a more confident sentence.

Generated copy is cheap. Misleading copy is not.

Testing the words inside the same coding agent makes it easier to catch the moment when the UI starts promising more than the code can deliver.
