Free is a bounded assessment, not a continuous test-fix loop. It includes every recorded finding, current-assessment reports and portable HTML/JSON exports. Your coding agent executes the checks; CARBON records the evidence.

Download and install Free for your coding agent. Node.js 22+ is required; demos also need Python 3.10+.
Open a project and ask /carbon to assess it, or use /carbon-demo for a disposable example.
Review the evidence and fix-ready recommendations. Ask for another focused assessment when needed.

Reports, maps and settings

Reports include all recorded findings, executed checks, blockers, persona evidence and scope-qualified confidence.
Free Map shows screenshots and findings from one saved assessment. It does not compare builds or retain steering.
HTML/JSON exports remain usable after the local live-report process stops. Review them before sharing.
Settings: time budget, check count, focus and analytics preference. No credential or team-integration management.

What is different in Pro?

Pro adds continuous discovery, dedicated specialist workflows, test engineering, persistent maps and team integrations. It is a separate private package, not a hidden unlock inside Free. Access is by agreement; model/API costs are separate.

Security, privacy and performance risks can still be checked in Free. The dedicated specialist commands and advanced workflows are Pro.

The six Free MCP tools

carbon_start, carbon_update, carbon_report, carbon_settings, carbon_demo and carbon_knowledge. These record and present evidence; the coding agent supplies execution. The downloaded package includes a Free-only MCP_SERVER.md with setup and tool contracts.
