CARBON

Manual stdio MCP

CARBON for Cursor.

Node.js 22+ is required. Demo and full-workflow helpers need Python 3.10+. Your host supplies model, terminal and browser tools.

npx -y @testers-ai/carbon-mcp@1.32.22-mcp.2 --doctor

Add a local stdio server in your host’s MCP settings. The configuration wrapper varies by host; use command npx and the two arguments below.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "carbon": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "@testers-ai/carbon-mcp@1.32.22-mcp.2"
      ]
    }
  }
}

On Windows, your host may require npx.cmd. Reconnect the server, then ask your agent to use CARBON’s carbon or jay prompt. MCP prompts do not necessarily appear as slash commands.

Ask Jay to test my current change with CARBON. Start with a five-minute risk-based pass, show a live rendered report, verify the most important suspected issue, and propose a regression test. Ask before editing code. Finish with evidence and coverage gaps.

Or try the disposable demo. Ask Jay to open CARBON settings to adjust budgets and analytics. Settings do not start a test. Use the returned protected localhost URL in a browser tab, not an HTML source editor.

The report is private. Never share its token-bearing localhost URL. Review and redact exported evidence before sharing.
