I analyzed 22 UK Retail websites and detected 2721 total quality issues. The average quality score is 85.0% (B), with 123.7 issues per site on average.
The biggest issue categories across the category: Other (4804), Content (520), A11y (392). The most recurring specific problems I found: "missing skip navigation link to main content" (found on 13 sites); "multiple failed resource loads - dns resolution failures" (found on 10 sites); "excessive render-blocking javascript resources" (found on 9 sites).
Top performers: Selfridges, Currys, Evans Cycles (fewest issues). Sites needing the most work: Marks & Spencer, eBay UK, Boohoo (most issues). The gap between best and worst is significant — the cleanest sites have 56 issues while the roughest have 219, suggesting very different levels of QA investment.
